What is your favorite part of winter? (I'm giddy it's almost [finally] here)

my favorite part about winter is how when everything is covered in bright white snow, it never really gets completely dark at night. and the silence. the silence is nice. winter quiet is so peaceful.

I love how a blanket of snow can look like it's warming the ground after it's just fallen. I also love to walk barefoot in the yard, and then run back in side and enjoy the fuzzy numbness as I walk around the house. And I love, love, love the sense of anticipation winter brings.

that reminds me... hot tubbing in the winter. in just a bikini... jumping out of the steaming hot water and rolling in the snow, then jumping back in the hot tub. what a rush. tho it'd prolly give me a heart attack if i did it right about now... not in the best of health :P

frankly the snow is so fantastic to watch falling onto the trees. the very first snow fall though. before it starts to collect and become bland and bleak. where the snow is just beginning to take over and the fall colors peak out under the blanket of snow. when the snowflakes fall gracefully onto my tounge and melt away as if they never existed and were only created for my pleasure. its fantastic.
