Percy Dana, Boxing Photographer

greenspun.com : LUSENET : San Francisco History : One Thread

I am trying to find out more information about boxing in SF from 1900-1916 and a photographer named Percy Dana. He had several studios around the city during this time. Who were the players that controlled boxing in SF during those years? I had heard that he filled the void when F.H. Bushnell died in 1903. I would be interested in the work Bushnell did, also. Many thanks. Diane Diamond

Dear Ms. Diamond:

I have been a collector/dealer of vintage boxing memorabilia for twenty five years and during that time have had handled a number of Dana and Bushnell photographs. Also, I have accumulated a rather substantial archive of original reference material. I would be happy to share whatever information that you might find helpful. Please feel free to contact me.
