Japan: Chiyoda Mutual Life failure may cost Tokai Bank 74 bil. yen

Major creditor banks on Tuesday announced
the amounts of their claims -- which are
deemed largely unrecoverable -- on Chiyoda
Mutual Life Insurance Co., which collapsed
Monday, with Tokai Bank being the biggest
potential loser with 74 billion yen.

As of Monday, Chiyoda Mutual Life had 85
billion yen in funds.
