The jiggle is dead

Tea bags and teapots could soon be relegated to the cupboards of history thanks to a revolutionary new way to make a hot cuppa: a tea pill.

Japanese inventors say they have developed a tablet made of compressed tea leaves which, when added to hot water, open up and make a better brew than traditional tea bags.

The cashew-sized, heart-shaped Drop Tea pills have taken three years of development and taste testing and have just gone on sale in Japan. Negotiations are now under way for the pills to be sold in Europe and other parts of the world.

The pills will cost slightly more per cup than traditional methods, but the makers believe the convenience of tea pills will make them a huge hit in tea-loving nations such as Australia.

Tea pills have been available for decades. Hikers in England take them along to enjoy a nice cuppa on the trail.

Not sure what they Japs think they've "invented" here ...

"in tea-loving nations such as Australia."

Is there less cancer in tea-loving nations? How about those where they mostly drink green tea?
