Easily remove bumper stickers!greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread |
Just a tip for ya' all! To easily remove a bumper sticker, spray it down with WD-40, let it soak in for a few minutes, then start peeling it off slowly. You may have to apply more WD-40 as you go. Seems that whatever is in it, softens the glue up.

Sounds good for chrome bumpers. Does it work on stickers that are applied to the painted abs bumpers without messing up the paint?

WD works great at getting anything sticky off from price tags to labels. Olive or vegetable oil will also work.

Jay - I've used thi son my wife's '95 Saturn, and it worked great. Also used it on my '92 Escort with no ill effects.

Thanks Eric. It worked on my wifes car. I just wanted to play it safe, don't have a lot of cash for car repairs, but she has red hair and plenty of garden tools.

Jay, my thanks for a great chuckle on this insomniac's net wanderings. Red hair and garden tools. Marvelous.

On a similar note; if you get pine tar/dropping on your car, GO-JO will remove it nicely without damaging the finish.j
