Please check a wonderful website www.gis.net/~shepdog/NABCRN/index.html. I know the people who run this rescue and the dogs are really great. There is a $ contribution for adopted dogs but keep in mind that after the neutering, shots, expenses of fostering, etc. no one makes money. I have personally helped with extraordinary medical expenses on a few.( Check out Jessie on current site) I have 4 border collies.....3 are rescues and were worth all the effort.You are giving a dog a second chance and my own feeling is with an adult dog, not only do you eliminate the puppy stage, but you know what their temperment, size etc. already is. No surprises. The dogs are all evaluated thoroughly at the foster homes. Worth checking out.

We have Borders. Dixie is due end of this month, 6 allready on waiting list, 5 girls and 1 boy wanted. Don't know how many pups she's gonna have. Hopefully lots of girls! I forgot what state you are in, I can search for you on line too. We haven't shipped any pups so far, but have found rides for them. A good friend of mine has some male pups left. Very good dogs. She sells them for $100.00 registered. She's in Kentucky, right close to me. Let me know and I will ask around.

I am looking into all options.I prefer a young dog under 6 months .If over 10 old I would like it to be around kids and stock .I know I'm asking for alot .I just want to make the best choice with no regrets .I am having trouble finding either a border collie or australian cattle dog puppy close to me .Thanks for the help

You are in Upstate New York, aren't you? There is some free Border/Aussie cross pups in our paper today, but you are so far from here. I will search around on the net some, I am always looking for someone it seems, but I like it. 2 of these pups are supposed to go to Deleware, they are comming for them.
