How I could possibly wait to buy the wrapping paper and dog toys until 7p on the Saturday night before I needed these things at 10a the next morning, I don't know, but I did! What did you wait until the last minute to do?

I alternate Christmases by being completely disorganised one year, and then anal retentive about being organised and presents bought and wrapped starting in June. This year is the organised year, I'm half way through the Christmas shopping, I have all the cards, all the wrappping paper, and I have a list of who to buy for and what to buy for them.

Last year was the odd year. I don't do so well on odd years. I was buying Christmas presents on Christmas Eve. I was sending cards the day before Christmas Eve. I gave my Australian friends and relatives their presents when I went to visit them. In May this year.

I am a shocking procrastinator about loads of things though, if it weren't for the fact that Jane is easier to spell, I suspect my family would have deed polled my middle name to Procrastination. Concepts like "I'm not really late until the time for the event is here, then I'm officially late. So, i I leave the house 5 minutes before an event that's a 20 minute drive away, I'm not late. Yet." make sense to my brain.
