Well, I thought of invisibility or the ability to read thoughts, but when it comes down to it I don't think I really want to know what people are thinking or saying about me. So I choose the thing that I want most - to fly.

Big picture: Cast a spell that would cause people to be happy and at peace with each other and chop wood to heat their own homes rather than try to control other people and bend them into doing the controlling person or group's will.

My spell would send me back to the tender, passionate alive age of twelve, when I was full of energy, life, and hope. Now, the magic part of this spell would be a simple thing; Instead of ignoring all the "still, small voices inside" that I did as the years went by-I would know to follow them, NOT what everyone else demanded/insisted I do.

On a purely magical plane; I would cast a spell to be a powerful and wise and beautiful good witch with amazing powers!!

Okay, so I'm posting here a few days late ... bear with me.

My magic spell would be this: IMPROVE.

What would happen? *What* would improve? Would my asthma go away, leaving me with clear breathing, powerful lungs? Would I become less self-centered, more giving of myself? Would my writing improve?

Would the taints in our air and our water disappear? Would relations between different ethnicities suddenly ease? Would wars cease? Would our leaders become wiser?

What would that spell, the simple word *improve* focus on? If anything, at least the working of that spell would satisfy my curiosity. [Or not -- then I'd want to know *why* it worked however it did.]
