Answers

Yes to the reading part, and my printing was good. But in third grade when we started cursive handwriting, I thought I would never get the hang of it. Fortunately, I finally did!

Reading ? Super easy, I could read before I entered first grade, and reading with understanding has always been easy for me. I can't imagine a life without reading -- but can a life with out the general run TV programs. Handwriting, Bah! I am still trying to control size and configuration of same. Webtv and a keyboard are a huge blessing and benefit for me.

I was (and am) very one-sided. I read and wrote effortlessly, at school and did it at home for fun. When math time came, I would fall out of my chair in a fake seizure, or anything else that would get me out of there!

I was reading and writing just before I was 4. When i got to Kindergarten at 5 everyone was placed in reading groups according to their ability. Well, I was my own group. I was given a 1st or 2nd grade book and eventually I got bored and they would send me to the library to read. I think my love of reading stems from that time in the library. Not being hampered by the curriculum I was able to read a much more varied set of stories.
