Back in the beginning of the spinoff, I believe OTFR stated that he/she was basically taking a "hands off" approach to the day-to-day administration (good move!). This, probably partially because of the badly-burned fingers (probably up to their elbows) of the original set of administrators who'd wind up banning poster "A" (for some real or imagined reason), which would piss off poster "B" who'd spam the board until they got banned, which would piss off posters "C" and "D" who'd use 'bots to spam the board until... you get the idea. Since then, there have been a couple of truly offensive posts removed, but -- by and large -- we're here to fight it out amongst ourselves.

BTW (and one of those "Strange But True" things), I don't remember that Mr. Charles P. Reuben (BA, MA, BS, MS, Ph.D., LS/MFT, RGRES [Really Good Real Estate Salesman], and All-Around-Protector-Of-The-Faith) was one of the people banned from the original board -- probably because he had his own playground at the time, and truly enjoyed responding to his own Wit and Wisdom [tm] there. (shrug)

My grand total was about 10 in two years. One of the 3 not with my email sig....... was called "the most important post every put on TB I" by a De-bunker. It stifled someone who left Y2k shortly afterwards nicely muted by facts ONLY I, he/she and one very prominent person could know. Someday, long after this BS is all over, I may reveal what that was. Meanwhile I am most content to know that I did it.
