I have in my collection an 18," number 8 numberplate, this plate was purchased at the little rock arkansas railroad show in mid 90`s. the information on the plate, that it came off a locomotive from the gifford-hill sand & gravel around the longleaf area. gifford-hill had a #8 that they purchased from texas & pacific in 1927, an o-6-o built at t&p`s marshall shops in 1907. could this be the engine that my number plate came off of? if any one can help me with photographs or information i`d appreciate it thanks
