Anyone using this standalone VCD recorder?

Looks nice and expensive (600$), but how is the quality?

And, btw, who is the real manufacturer of this device?

I4d rather recommend using the Amoisonic VDR2000.This unit is available in China right now at 299 -340 usd and it records VCD as well as SVCD onto CD-R and CD-RW. I4ve got mine for about one week and I4m absolutely satisfied with the SVCD quality -compared with all sw encoding techniques i used before and whereabout there are lots of topics on this board. More about the VDR2000 at www.amoisonic.com

Sven;

This VDR2000 is located in China, How do you order this unit from oversea? I have already talk to Rebecca Xie, but seem she does not explain to me really in detail of how to ship this unit to me. I really love to order this unit, but I don't know if I could trust them that they will ship the unit to me? Please tell me How did you order this VDR2000?

Dear All,

I was about to purchase a Terapin but came across VDR2000. Looks like VDR2000 is a better unit. However, does anyone know how I can buy one in the U.S. I have tried contacting the manafacturer (Amoisonic in China) through e-mail but have not heard from them yet. Can anyone help?

Thanks, Collin
