I pulled Tmax 100 at 25 asa developed it for 5 min in D 76, 1:1, at about 20 degrees what I got was a good sooooooooooft neg. but the frame numbers were almost not visible.

not that I have a problem with that but just wondered If the pull was successfull?

Don't know what you were trying to do- if the results are what you were looking for, the pull must have been successful. On the frame numbers, I've always been leery of concluding much from frame numbers. There's no telling how much exposure they're given, so the density vs. development doesn't mean anything. If the film has good solid frame numbers, but no images, then it certainly wasn't exposed. No frame numbers at all generally means development didn't happen. I like to include a nice stepped gray scale in the first or last frame- far more useful.

Think about it. If the frame numbers were exposed to be perfect at EI100, and you developed for EI25, they are two stops under exposed. So they should be dim.
