Dear Sirs,

The International Executive Council of the 15 nation non-governmental ECOWAS Youth and Citizens League(EYCL) humbly write to solicit fund and technical know how to support bankable agricultural programme which is aimed to help the rural poor to have a good living standard.

A country Gateways partner with other bilateral donors is how a country needs a resoruces in which it does not have but needs to get the resources for consumption.

In this our West African sub-region about 90% of the rural people live below the poverty level hence the EYCL is in to assist them. The ECOWAS Youth and Citizens League is a 15 nation non-governmental Organization set up to help the rural poor and needy in society.

The League has 5 main objectives; 1. ECOWAS OUT REACH PROGRAME 2. ECOWAS INTERNATIONAL VOLUNTEER CORPS. 3. BLOCK BUILDERS BRIDGE 4. ECOWAS CULTURAL FESTIVAL AND GAMES 5. COMPUTATION OF COMMUNITY CITIZENS

With the aims of the League, the No. 3 is highly dear to our hearts and needs international support and therefore beg to appeal to your good offices to offer financial assistance to this EYCL bankable 2 year Action Program which is attached to this our letter.

The ECOWAS Youth and Citizens League will also from January 2003 start registering West African citizens in Ghana and therefore need support for this exercise. Please be informed that we have attached all our legal documents to you for your approval of our grant.
