I really dont think there is a rave page where you can find actual Rave Names. A raver name nickname you have to earn it from like an other Raver usually one who has been raving a long time. Like Ive been Raving for six yrs now. My real NAME Is Ruby-Violet Tine but I go by Rainbow Cause I look like the HAUMAN Version of Rainbow Brite. But also Your name you can come up with your self like Something cute that you like. I.E.

Hey :o)~* I agree with Rainbow on this answer. A "raver nickname" kinda has to be simbolic but at the same time I think that a person who has been going to parties for awhile has to give you a name. For example my "Kand*E name" is HuGgLeBuG and a "raver" who had been going to parties for like 6 years gave me that nickname. He gave me this name along with a great explantion of why he gave it to me. He told me that since I was a Kand*E kid he would give me this nickname, because I love to hug people who I meet. He commented on the way I say hug also... I say "would you like a huggle?" So therefore he called me HuggleBug because I was I in his words was cute as a bug and loved to huggle...so I think you need to have a simbolic name that represents something about yourself, but at the same time I think you need to be given a nickname by someone who has seen this special trait inside you. :o) Good Luck :o)

I also agree........ I "rave" name or club name should come from one who has been in the scene awhile. It's Kinda like a a special thing here in the 808 State to receive a club name from a Friend. Me, since I've been to a few diff. states and been through quite abit of Friends, I have inheirited a few names I.E.: T-Bone,SkInNyPiMp,O-Zone, ZeRoBoUnCe, And my current name....Telly B/C I Look like the dude off "KIDS". Hi there, I agree that I don't think that you can just go to any website and have a rave name picked out. Even though I have heard of a website just don't know what it is. I have a bunch of rave names. Two of my favorites are "Giggles" :) because I giggle and laugh alot. I also have "Butterfly" because I love everything about butterflies and collect everything about them. Rave were created for people to join together to apreciate great music dance and be happy. Just so you all know... I have been seriously disturbed by some of the things that people said in this answer....

Ravers are people that go to places to listen to music and dance and chill with their friends and meet new people... Ravers are not just freaks, or fags, or anything that anyone else is who hangs with people they care about... I am a raver... and have been for a LONG time.. I understand the scene is getting tore by people who cant understand it... TOOO BAD FOR YOU... you will never know the love and feeling and the effort that goes into these things and the feeling you get when you can say that you are a TRUE raver.... Ok for one, I agree about the need to earn a raver name. It's like your mark. I got mine from my boyfriend who is now my husband. I'm so glad to see you that you want a name. Hey all, or y'all (that's the southern in me) I would just say that nicknames or no names or whatever you may choose, shouldn't really be of any concern. When I go to a rave, it is not about the drugs, the nick names, or even the people. I go to listen, and then allow myself to dance along with the music. Whether it's trance, breakbeat, techno, house,d&B whatever... I appreciate talent. And when I am moved to dance by the music, ignoring all other motivations, that usually indicates talent to me. I think that the "rave" scene has at all times been infected, (if I may say) with those driven by less noble of motives to go. But at all times, there is a core of true fans. I consider myself to be one. The world created by the music (and for some enhanced by drugs and nicknames etc, I am not really trying to knock all that)is one of awe to me. and I can get that just listening to it in my dorm room, at any club, or preferrably at a rave. the reason people are saying all this shit about you kids is because of many reasons inherently to do with what raves have become.

sure you guys get together, munch some e and dance to some music, but how many of you actually talk to your friends that you meet at raves about thing that really matter to you and your life.

A good time is a good time, but I don't think that people should have to go to extremes to be outgoing and happy, the image is prevaling throught many raves of cheesy glow sticks and fluro, it has now just become another fashion, another brand name. This turns a lot of people who have been going out to raves for a long time off the scene, where they once felt comftorble doing what ever they wanted to and being who they were as indiviuals and as a culture.

But the culture turns to fashion and becomes exploited.

Hey Rainbow Children. I strongly agree with whomever said that your name should be GIVEN to you, especially at your first rave, or when you're still new to the scene. Everybody's special and has some kind of cute, weird, or unusual characterist (especially weirdo kandy kids that have enough personality to frighten children) so don't worry too much about your "rave name." I tend to meow when I get nervous or excited or can't think of anything to say and I'm also cute, curious, obnoxious, manipulative, and controlling like Dinah the cat in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland so a friend named me Dinah when we were partying at a favorite venue. To be honest, the name you recieve isn't that important unless it's super origional and you can represent that name in everyday life. I know I guy named Tigger- flower and he's always wearing Tiger-striped overals and a black hat with a flower in it. Another example is my very good friend Sean (aka Gumby) who always goes to parties painted from head-to-toe in green and wear's a Gumby t-shirt and green junglist pants. There's a reason why most ravers retire about 24-25 yrs old. It's because of all the stupid "cand-e" ravers. YOU JUST DON'T GET IT!!! RAVES ARE NOT ABOUT PLUR OR ANY OTHER STUPID FLUFFY REASON!!!! THAT'S NOT HOW IT ALL STARTED!!!!!! The acid house scene 15 years ago was about a musical transition to a new style. Yes, the drugs propelled the scene to where it is today and no, I don't have any philosophical problems with that. IT STARTED WHEN MONEYHUNGRY ASSHOLES WANTED TO MAKE AS MUCH $$$ AS THEY COULD, SO THEY STARTED LETTING KIDS GO TO RAVES!!! 10 years ago, you couldn't hold a legal party with anybody under 18. In fact, when I started going, most parties were 21 and over and this is in S.F., one of the pioneers of the movement. The problems started when immature little kids (NO MATTER WHAT YOU SAY, YOU ARE NOT MATURE AT 16!!)infected the parties and started taking and even selling drugs. I knew it was time to stop going to parties when I would walk in a party and (I'm not shitting you), groups of 14 year olds or younger would try and sell you E!

So that's it. I've been hearing people come up with all kinds of different reasons why "it's not like it used to be." This movement was meant for young people, not children. kids + drugs = death of the raves. If you don't believe me, just ask any promoter who through parties 10-15 years ago. The cops ALWAYS left us alone. Why? Because most of the people were adults and could HANDLE THEIR SHIT, if you know what I mean. But now we got 13 year olds OD'ing on E in class. You want to keep the rave scene going, get rid of the kids. I'm not trying to be mean, but this scene is too much for kids to handle at such young ages. And to all the people who preach about not having to take drugs at parties to have a good time, FUCK YOU! Just about every single person, dj, promoter, whatever..whose helped this scene grow, knows it wouldn't be as big as it is now if it wasn't for the drugs.

I don't see what the big deal is about someone wanting a rave name. It's a novelty thing for a lot of us. I went to my first party completely unknowing of what I was about to expierence. Before that I'd been slightly stuck up and judgemental, etc. After that, I realized that I'd found a place I could go and be myself... Or, if I didn't feel like being myself, I could be someone else. So, I started going to parties all kandied out and such... And I went by the name SunMaide, given to me by my then, now ex- veteran raver boyfriend). That lasted all of one party, I think. After that I continued wearing bracelets, etc. just on a smaller scale, and one of them spelled out my actual name, abbie, in beads and I found that to be much more suiting. And it served a good purpose, as parties are pretty loud and so people always thought I was saying my name was Maggie or Aggie and such... So I could tell them my name then point to my bracelet and let them read it.

As for now... I've not been to a party in a few years, but my last couple were definitely more about the music and dancing instead of spreading my happy cheer. It didn't mean I wasn't happy and whatnot... I just chose to show it in a different way. Dancing is an excellent way of showing appreciation to the djs at parties.

Anyway, I'm just saying that I think in the beginning, for many of us, the experience is completely overwhelming. It's like finding yourself all over again. And you grow out of it. I've never met a kandie kid that had been in the scene more than a year. Just deal with them. And like someone above me said, there are generally several different areas at parties and most of the time kandie kids are in the trance rooms. Avoid them unless you like trance. And in that case, be glad that there are other people who support the same style of music that you do. Isn't that what parties are about? Respect and Unity and whatnot?

I agree with the many people on here who are talking about the name being symbolic to you. Thats how I got mine, from a friend to took me to my second rave. I got the nickname "Tinkz" because *appearance wise* I have little fairy wings tattood onto each one of my shoulders, and I always carry around a little pouch of blue glitter. But dance wise my friend cliff said I looked like a little fairy flying through mid air, dancing nice and smoothly like it comes naturally, and sometimes like I'm out of this world. Also because I'm real short and tiny compared to him :P And as for the whole Kand*e kids thing, its amazing why people wonder WHY the rave scene is falling apart!!! PLUR is an excellent concept to think, live, and dream by. I'm a Kand*e kid, and so are a lot of my other raver friends. We go out, we have fun, and we live by plur. You think the rave scene is falling apart because of them *us*, when look at some of YOU! You argue and fight and diss all of the people that are Kand*e kids, blaming them for the downfall. Do you think that helps the scene? Newcomers are gonna be scared out of their mind soon because of how people are starting to treat fellow ravers and Kand*e kids NOW! They are gonna try and be what all of you who claim to be "real" ravers and diss all of the kand*e kids hate, and not themselves! Being a raver is just being yourself, and like I said, with the way all of you are acting nowadays, newcomers are never gonna see that, and they're gonna push themselves over the limit to be something they ARENT!! How much of PLUR do you see in THAT?? And as for the newly revised PLURR (peace, love, respect, *responsibility*), I think that too is great. If these kids want to be true ravers, I think plurr is a great thing to learn by. I know I dont like it when other Kand*e kids show up at these raves all hyped up on e swinging around pouring glitter everywhere and being just flat out DISrespectful, jumping around and picking fights, getting drunk and acting stupid. Because that is what gives us a bad name. But not all of us are like that. I know I go there for the music, the vibes, the feeling and the unity of the people. Not for the drugs and to use it as a place to act stupid and be there just so I can call myself a "raver". NOpe, not in the very least. Sure e is great every once in a while, it enhances my senses and makes the whole night a lot more enjoyable, but just being there alone, sober, by itself, is the best thing in the world for me. No drug in the world can compare to that. I think the crap with all of these people having probs with the Kand*e kids and stuff is one of the main reasons for so much argument and collapsing of the raver scene now. Lighten up, not all of us are stupid like some of the kand*e kids that are out there nowadays. Accept us for who we are, because there are too many of us out there now for you to just eliminate from the scene. PLUR Live it, learn it, be it.

Hey what's up all you crazies! From a small town dj located in the midwest's point of view I think Kandy Kids are great! I've been going to rave parties since the late 90's and I've seen things evolve very quickly as far as the diversity of the party goers at least in the Chicago area. I mainly spin house as aposed to breaks, jungle and dnb, but I'll drop some techy ISH just to mix things up a bit... each to your own right! Anyway, I've never been much of a raver/dancer in terms of glowsticks and bright baggy pants, but I've always loved the scene. I'm not a well known dj by any means but I've played a couple big party's with maybe 300-500 people but I would've never made it there if it wasn't for another dj who heard my first live performance and gave me my name. Gotta give love to my boy Jeremy Anderson, DJ Buddha, The Tripp Brothers and all the local Quad City dj's who've supported me over the years. All the haters who bash someone's style becuase they act or look different at a party have no reason or purpose for being there. It's evident that the rave scene has evolved from the catacombs of the disco era back in the 70's. Some people don't realize that in the begining this music was first played in Gay clubs in Chicago and New York, so there's no reason to get all distraught with Kandy Kids because they're not like you. If it wasn't for the diverse crowds of people who flock to see live dj's doing there thing the whole scene would die and the dj's who people love would be out of a job because ass holes who have no respect and can't see the big picture around them.
