A good modern day fairytale about banking system & debt which sounds so familiar called "I want the earth and 5%"

A really interesting read.

An explination of why we will always be in debt and the large financial institutions will eventually own everything and have more control over our everyday life.

Very good story but it isn't a fairy tale, it's real. It is good because it is presented in simple terms like a children's book, something that the average American simpleton might even be able to understand, if they would only take the time to read it.

SIMPLISTIC VIEW OF THE WORLD THAT HAS BEEN **WRONG FOR 500 Years****.

Never before have so many people across the world lived so well.

Banks and investors finance growth and provide the needed method of transferring payments.

Same old sorry CRAP that GARY NORTH, Craig Smith and the rest of the Hard Asset Gold DRUNKS have been peddling for years.

BANKING MAKES BUSINESS RUN..

BUSINESS PROVIDES JOBS WHICH ALLOWS WORKERS TO BUY.

THE ECONOMY IS DRIVEN BY THE CONSUMPTION OF GOODS.

What is safer? A gold coin under your bed or direct deposit to your checking account from your employer? With the latter you pay your bills, buy some things and save a part of it. With the former, you have to find someone to exchange it.

This is an excellent and lucid explanation, in the form of a children's story -- though still too sophisticated for CPR to comprehend -- of how the fractional reserve banking system came into existance and how it works today. Note that it has NOTHING to do with gold per se.

Definitely worth the read.

Glad to see you have come to reclaim your realm your majesty,,, technology has made living easier over the last 500 yars not money.

Fortunately for the benefactors of *money* the serfs have not noticed their burden has doubled over the last 500 years.

It's that simple.

Hey, "spain" you are pretty LOUD MOUTHED for someone who made a total ASS of him/her self over Y2k Computer problems.

Do you really think anyone has forgotten what a TWIT you are or does the mud impair your thinking that much?

Dear CPR.

Never in our history until now are so many people in debt.

Banks profits are at record levels.

Stress and drug use and long working hours are at record levels.

Enviroment has deen damaged through greed to make more money.

Not everyone lives better as billions of people do no have the access to clean drinking water but we are happy to put them in debt and exploit their resources. Our system does not allow fair distribution.

We are being taught to lead a joyless, stressful, unhappy life of mindless consumerism, become agressively ambitious and mindlessly competitive and to become a mere cog in a corrupt economic machine.

Who is the utimate beneffitor ? Who has control over your life when you are in unrepayable debt ?Who takes over your posessions when you can not repay ? How much do you get for your posessions when you are forced to sell?

Is this system sustainable for another 500 years ?

Are you happy with the system of unelected rulers that will eventually lead and control us and their philosophy that "we know what is best for you (Look at all the wonderfull possesions you have now) and don't worry you are not smart enough to make changes" "We are the ruling class by birthright, the chosen ones and you are here to serve us"

The quality of life does not depend on how many posessions you own or how long you live but on inner well being, basic needs, stability and purpose.

Globalisim and the power of capital is not inevitable and neither any system that is in place today no matter how many "experts" tell you.

["Doomzies-Be-Them"????? Yet, using "buytexas@swbell.net"? ... Oh, I get it, CPR is DISGUISING himself, he is getting CLEVER now. Showing that there is actually SOMEONE ELSE who agrees with him besides himself. Someone of color, even. OK, let's see if we can make him feel good, maybe he will go away for a while...]

Doomzies-Be-Them:

Yo, Bro. What's happenin', my man?? Yeah, that CPR, he is waayyy too cool for school. He knew all about that Y2K stuff long before Yourdon, North, and those other jive ass crackers did a hustle on the TB-2, you know what I'm sayin', my man? Yeah, CPR -- he the man, he the man.

Yeah, he the man.
