Dear CPR, how unkind your words. Do you automatically assume everyone has the same level of expertise in your chosen field? Got a room full of Hodge Podge(supposedly experts), and they all act like the Key Stone Cops. They are really comical to a non expert user. You are partially correct on one point though. I was SO RELIEVED when that 'collapse of western civilization' thing didn't turn out the way you hoped. I'm sure everyone remembers that F500 companies had their collective hands tied on what we could/could not say. That's just the way it was and FUD was the main culprit for that. I mentioned several times that I was receiving Y2K certification letters from hundreds of our vendors and clients - most of them were large corporations. At that time I could not say who they were, only that they were big and they mattered.

This is when the mensa rejects started with that 'shill' crap. And, quite honestly, the name calling changed my whole attitude on this BB. Most of what I said after that was the short attacks that QOS is reffering to. No apologies. I knew what I was talking about having worked in the middle of it for over 2 years. There was no way in hell, with as much good news that I was privy to from all over the country, Y2K was going to be any more that a blip.

I still question why anyone in their right mind would take advice on technical issues from a whacked-out preacher and a freakin' pig farmer! This was one of the biggest mysteries of Y2K to me.

TB I and its "contributors" were a set up. Like Hyatt and North's own "forums" they were set up to RECRUIT and SELL. The name of the game was to create FUD and doubt about "everything" because that opens the way into the real "survivalist/militia" mindset of the Paranoids. Why it continued on TB I longer than even on North's board is a mystery. GN's own "general discussions" and the other boards off GN and Y2k Chaos had collapsed long before 2000. By Sept. they were left with the same core people GN had back in 1997. Why and how was TBI able to continue the charade so long? Because people like SPAIN were part of a "community" and now to their disgrace, they would offer any argument to "justify" supporting that Cultish Mess. The real disgrace is that a KOS would show up after leaving in late Jan and expect that people have forgotten his pre 1/1/2000 BS along with that of the rest of the FUD BS artists. Then with the same tactics we saw on TB I, we see some "anon" posting that KOS has recanted when he left in late. Jan. Left unsaid was that he never REALIZED not did many others, HOW MANY OTHER PEOPLE THEY TERRIFIED along the way. After the De-bunking of the moronic old fart, "R.C." many more followed "spain" off TB and without posting. We know and they know they were "SUCKERS" and no amount of verbiage will enable "spain" to re-write his contribution to the rest of the climate of fear maintained at TB I. This is a "new spin". We have seen the "I was wrong but with excuses". And "I was mislead by people I trusted" and "I did what I thought was best". Now we get, "I prepped, I was wrong, Nothing happened, FUCK YOU". Because that is exactly what KOS is doing here DARING to demean what he calls "pollies" when he knows that the Moderates were ALL...ANTI- DOOMERS. As usual, I have long suspected that such tripe is organized off line. We know that was the case before, during and after 1/1/2000 on TB I and for awhile on this board. The "Orchestration" of the threads was even exposed in Spring, 1999 by Paul Davis who cited the "thread enders" and the bombers followed by the posting of 10-15 new threads quickly to move the "offending thread" down the board. Thread enders would happen when a Paul Davis or Hoff would come up with some argument that could not be refuted. Bombing would happen when there was the TINIEST opening in the post of a NON-DOOMER. 1/2 way through the bombing and the shrill cries of the cultists from Big Puppy to Diane to the Notalkingplease@soupkitchen.gov would come the "Ms. X or Y....do you mudwrestle" a singular tribute to Male Chauvenistic PIGGY if there ever was one.

As for the twit who made the claim on the other KOS thread that the news was evenly distributed on TB I.......LOLOLLOLOLLLLLLLLLLL. The Church Authorities and the Clan would make sure that enough Cut and Paste from GARY or Gary's sources or Loser'sWire /WorldNutDaily and the rest would be posted to continue the FOG that even the Shadow couldn't cut through for those infected. And NEVER ONCE.......did SPAIN...or any of the rest of these SELF ANNOINTED PROTECTORS OF THE WORLD........EVER....stop and agree that MAYBE Flint or Hoff or Cherri or dozens of other occasional posters were correct. Of course not, they were "too busy" like their Leader who from day one NEVER corrected even the most obvious technical errata posted.
