OK Mr Smartass.

I await the multitudes of billboards along the nation's hiways warning the wayward youth of America.....

(Z, excuse me for "hijacking" your thread a minute...)

Unk, did you go on the cruise yet? How was it? Where did you go?

-- Patricia (PatriciaS@lasvegas.com), September 02, 2000.

Ok, since this is a silly thread. I went on this here boat:

I had the time of my life, and ate 2.5 cows, singlehandedly. Thank- you for asking.

BTW, if anyone reading this thread has never been on a cruise I endorse it wholeheartedly. The Royal Caribbean staff was without peer, friendly, helpful, and caring. I was treated like a king, a truly royal vacation.

Oooops, sorry Patricia

Where we went. (to those of you who do not care, hit your "back" button)

We went to Nassau, Bahamas. You can keep it. Grungy third world feeling, but nice people.

Visited the Atlantis resort, twas mind blowing. Then the next day to Coco Cay (pronounced key) the island owned by the cruise company.

*hint* When you get off the ferry go past the tourist area and keep walking west. Keep walking. Walk some more. Go around the bend and walk more. Just a little further. That is where the crew on break hangs out, it is the best spot on the island, secluded, topless, clear turquoise water, sand bars that ran for hundreds of feet off shore, the best. Tell em that the nutty Dutchman sent ya;-)

The last day was at spent "at sea".

Cannot wait to go back.

Damn Uuk!!!!

Just had to go get ya a boat bigger'n mine, didn't ya,LOL.I get the houseboat, you get the ship from the 7th fleet ; )

Hope yaw'll had a great time,I would think anytime spent with Unk out on the big blue pond with an unlimited beer supply and it constantly beer-fifteen has to be a hell of a party.

This year I'm gonna have to settle for my effiecency motel room and a 16ft skiff, but hey at least capnfun gets to swashbuckle in the Keys.I can't wait, this venture is too long overdue.

BTW,could you elaborate on the Atlantis island?

Z,

How much ya reckon thay et for it to getim in such abad way?I guess I'm gonna have to tell the people round here to stick with eatin' the local dirt, that imported stuff ain't worth a shit for ya,and they want to sell it to ya to boot.

capn,

Atlantis is a resort near Nassau. It is where all the big-wigs stay, Oprah, Michael (Jacko) Jackson, etc. The bridge in the photo below is a suite that costs $25,000 a night, but they also have rooms for us little people.

There are aquariums all over the place with sharks, rays, fish of all kinds. The best is the underwater glass tunnel that takes you along the bottom of the main aquarium so that you are looking up at the fish right over your head. Another neat thing is the waterslide that takes you right through the shark tank via another glass tunnel.

The entire place is first rate, and a real eye-candy place to wander around in.
