Farmall Cub-trouble w/ lights

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

We rebuilt a cub tractor. The lights do not work. When you turn them on, the indicator shows it is charging all the fully charged instead of discharging. Anyone heard of polarizing? How is it done? Would appreciate any input. Thanks

i hope this works, we wired a truck and somehow crossed the pos. over the neg. causing some type of loop to form.it happens in model trains and it cause the train to move back and forth not going anywhere.the loop is called maybe a modis or mobise loop. that realy does not help awhole lot but if i think of the name of the loop i will let you know. we fixed it by re doing the whole thing, there is more then likely an easier way.

Bob, here is a link to a very busy Farmall Discussion Board where they know these Cubs inside and out. If you don't get a workable answer here you might try this link:

http://www.ytmag.com/cgi-bin/boards.cgi

Once there, scroll down and click on the "Farmall Discussion Forum" link.

Good luck with your tractor, Kim

here's one too, http://www.ihcubcadet.com Just found it yesterday! Check your serial numbers on the cub, found out ours is an Origional, 1962, first batch. And it runs and mows and plows! This site has a good forum with lots of help. These guys love their Cubs.
