im pretty new to developing my own film(this particular roll was my 3rd) so i am expecting to screw up a few times, but this last roll, when developed, was totally transparent. it looks like i just developed an unused roll. has anyone ever had this happen? what did i do wrong? its weird because the last roll i developed turned out perfect.

Check your developed film: if there is printing on the edge, indicating manufacturer, frame number, etc, you developed the film properly, but did not expose the film. If the edges are blank, too, as well as the leader that was exposed to light when you loaded the film, you probably mixed up the chemicals, and used the fixer before the developer, leaving a blank film.

Welcome to the wonderful world of taking control over the creative process! It will be worth it in the end.

I do that all the time also, thats why I am trying to mark all my finished rolls, (I don't know how my unused rolls get mixed in with my used rolls either, maybe the unused ones get jealous and jump to the door of my fridge?!?) otherwise, there are three posibilities: 1:> it was and unused roll 2:> the development got messed up somewhere along the way and you blanked the negs when you pulled em' out to look at them. 3:> you got a "cursed" roll, one in a million... (check those dates!!)

thats all I gotta say... Jason Tuck
