Spokane: Y2K problem: Health district failed to collect $190,000

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Grassroots Information Coordination Center (GICC) : One Thread

Spokane _ More than $190,000 in past-due patient
accounts were dropped from the Spokane Regional
Health District's books during the switch to a new
computer system, the Washington State Auditor's
Office found.

. . .

The health district also needs to more aggressively
collect money for services rendered during the first five
months of this year -- a process also stymied by the
conversion to a Y2K compliant computer system that
was not finished until recently.
