If anyone has birdhouse gourds that they will be drying, I would be interested in purchasing their extras. I would prefer to wait until they dry because of the shipping costs if shipped green. My growing season is just too short for them to mature here, I can grow them about the size of an egg before cold weather gets them. Thanks

My gourds would not mature this year for reasons I don't know. I am trying them in my fall garden. If they do well I'll let you know. Do you decorate them, this is new to me, it was my first try. Aagje

Where are you located? We are in central Wisconsin and this is our second year growing the gourds. I think they're turning out pretty good, not really large, but healthy so far. E-mail me in the spring and I'll let you know if I have any extra then, depends on how many I want to finish into birdhouses myself. Last year they took 6 months to dry and I made them into birdhouses for Mother's day gifts, they were great.

I have birdhouse gourds; this is an old email so I don't know if you are still looking for them. We have grown gourds/pumpkins for 12 years now so we have many. We are in Wisconsin also. Gourds are wonderful to work with! Best wishes
