I don't have an opinion on al-d, but this sounds like his description. There may be more articles, but it doesn't interest me enough to look for them. If this description is true, it explains many things.

So what is your point? Surely you have one.....

-- KoFE (your@town.USA), August 24, 2000.

KoFE:

Point; not really. Just providing data. You can make your own decision.

Thanks data, I had never heard the story, and have been wondering. Sounds like Al got real lucky.

-- (dont.pay.your.bills@get.rich.quick), August 24, 2000.

So, the point is to gossip, then.

-- KoFE (your@town.USA), August 24, 2000.

KoFE:

Gossip would more likely be described as trying to convince people that they didn't have to pay taxes. This is just providing published information that describes al-d's situation. From what I see, he has told us the truth. But you must make that decision.

I only provide data.

OK:

I found a few more articles on the trial. They agree with the one that Data posted. I am not one who agrees with al-d on most things, but I think that he should be honored for his defense of his wife.

Just my opinion.

KOFE,

not interested in gossip, i only wanted to know what the story was about al-d.

it helps me understand his situation, that's all.

i'm glad that data posted it, since i was never able to find anything.

since you were already aware of the story, it may seem pointless to you.

that's fine, just leave this thread.

Relax, al-d. I don't particularly like you, but I am on your side if your wife's allegations were honest and legitimate. The collection agency deserved to go belly up if that is how they practiced business.

Data, that was the stupidest argument I have seen on this forum yet, and I've been here quite awhile.

I wouldn't try to convince anyone, and especially you, from being shammed. Make sure you listen to the other blind idiots on this forum and parrot everything you've been "taught", That's a good boy, now rollover.

-- KoFE (your@town.USA), August 25, 2000.

What the collection agency did was wrong, but it all could have been avoided if you'd just paid your bill.

-- No Deadbeats (pay@your.bills), August 25, 2000.

Hey al - can I borrow a cool $mill? Gonna start a Jesus Saves website.

I'll pay you back I promise.

The web is a source of all kinds of information. Did you know that Driscol is the 73,399th most common surname in the U.S.?

Driscol

Says so at this site. Isn't that a useful piece of information?

Good site data.

I have searched for the most common male first name, and the closest I got was John, in 2nd place. Tried all the biggies... Joseph, Joe, William, Bill, Thomas, Tom, etc, etc, but I must be having a mental block. What IS the most common male first name???

The most common female first name is of course, Mary.

KoFE:

Being called stupid by you is like being called ugly by a toad. Thanks. I have read your tax protest stuff. We don't agree, but this can be the last of the flinging of insults. If that is ok with you.
