greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

it is a very sad day today, we had to shoot her this morning{only after talking to alot of folks that know more then us}she just was suffering to much to allow her to go on. she never got better and in the last few days she went down hill quick. i know she died fast and peacefully and she effected us in only positive ways.i am sure more will follow.

Oh, Renee - I'm so sorry....at least the poor little thing got to know some love and warmth and caring in it's short life. I think that you're wonderful for taking it in and caring for it.

renee, bless you for doing the right thing, even though it must have been very hard to do. That little creature suffered less for what you did. Having lost a few lambs, I feel for you!

so sorry to hear of your loss. be comforted in that you can never go wrong if you do your best with caring and from your posts you did. use what you have learned and don't be afraid to try again. gail

Oh Renee, I'm so sorry to hear that you lost her. It is especially hard to lose an animal you have been struggling to save. It took courage to release her and shorten her time of suffering. I admire you for trying to save her, and I admire you for letting her go quickly when you saw that she was lost.

sometimes you have to love enough to let them go.
