Thanks Debra for this answer earlier today (Sunday) from Alan Dickens... "The Lusenet forums are down because of a power outage in the building where the machine on which they're hosted resides. Unfortunately I dont have any more information than that; if I get an ETA on when they're coming back up I'll pass it along. Sorry for the inconvenience!"

Thanks Aunt Bee for the heads up that the forum is running again.

Please, everyone, email those you know who follow this place and tell them to come to www.greenspun.com, click on LUSENET, scroll down to this forum, and start the rock n roll.

Enough of doing without.

Another Update via email from Alan Dickens:

Debra -

The greenspun.com free services seem to be back up now.

Apparently there was a power failure today at the facility where greenspun.com is hosted. In theory all of our servers are supposed to be hosted at facilities with multiply redundant everything, so I'm still a little unclear why this interruption happened.

However, it appears that the site is back now, so please try it and let me know if you're still having problems.

Also, for what it's worth, we're already making plans to move greenspun.com to a new machine; hopefully that'll produce a more stable environment than has been experienced for the last week or so.
