And at the end of his life said, "I'm the chief of all sinners." As he grew in grace and in his knowledge of God, he also grew in knowledge of himself. And the more you know God, the more you really know yourself. As you grow, as you look into the Word of God, you see yourself as you really are. What He sees in us, He very graciously and slowly begins to reveal to us. That's what growth is all about. He says - You want to see a little more of how depraved you really are, how weak you reallly are, how foolish you really are? Let Me just reveal this to you. And we get cocky and say - Ok, I've got it down now. And God says - Oh, you need to see a little bit more...I'll show you a little bit more...you're not gonna believe this one...
