Despite the tomato blight that has hit almost every tomato plant in this area, we have been blessed with lots of tomatoes. I picked three bushels this morning of various stages of ripe. I have the plants covered with row cover, sheets and cardboard trying to prevent sunscald I don't have room to put them if I'd pick them all now. Many of them are huge. It only took nine tomatoes to overfill a peck basket. I found a volunteer tomato plant this morning, it looks real nice, maybe we'll have tomatoes in the fall, after all. So I thank God for special blessings.
