Elevator rescue

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Elevator Problem Discussion : One Thread

I work for a professional fire department rescue team and we are constantly called to people stuck in elevators. We have some knowledge of elevators and we have been very successful so far, but we have yet to recieve a class or information on the proper procedures in elevator rescue. We also have been tasked with freight elevators as well. I am looking to find this information either in a class or books or software. I need information on the different ways to get people out safely. If you have any information please let me know. Thank you Shane
