August 10, 2000 Boeing 747 Makes Emergency Landing A passenger jet bound for Los Angeles was forced to land at KCI last night after experiencing engine problems. The pilot of TWA flight 849 reported low pressure in one of the plane's engines and landed around eleven p-m. Emergency crews were standing by, but no one needed medical attention. The Boeing 767 was on its way from New York to Los Angeles. There were 182 people on board.
