America The Beautiful?

AMERICA THE BEAUTIFUL by Judge Roy Moore

America the Beautiful, or so you used to be. Land of the Pilgrims' pride, I'm glad they'll never see Babies piled in dumpsters, Abortion on demand, Oh, sweet land of liberty, your house is built on sand.

Our children wander aimlessly, poisoned by cocaine, Choosing to indulge their lusts, when God has said abstain. From sea to shining sea, our Nation turns away From the teaching of God's love and a need to always pray.

So many worldly pastors tell lies about our Rock, Saying God is going broke so they can fleece the flock. We've kept God in our temples, how callous we have grown, When earth is but His footstool and Heaven is His throne.

We've voted in a government that's rotting at the core, Appointing Godless Judges who throw reason out the door, Too soft to place a killer in a well deserved tomb, But brave enough to kill a baby before he leaves the womb.

You think that God's not angry that our land's a moral slum? How much longer will He wait before His judgment comes? How are we to face our God from Whom we cannot hide? What then is left for us to do, but stem this evil tide?

If we who are His children will humbly turn and pray, Seek His holy face and mend our evil way, Then God will hear from Heaven and forgive us of our sins, He'll heal our sickly land and those who live within.

But America the Beautiful if you don't, then you will see, A sad but Holy God withdraw His hand from thee. AMEN!

THIS IS A POWERFUL POEM. I don't think I have ever read anything more apropos as to what is going on right in front of our face - and what are WE doing about it? America, face exactly what you have become! Each and everyone of us is AMERICA. We each represent the best of what we are, and, if we do nothing about it, each of us represents the worst of what we are.

A Visitor From The Past

I had a dream the other night, I didn't understand.
A figure walking through the mist, with flintlock in his hand.
His clothes were torn and dirty, as he stood there by my bed.
He took off his three-cornered hat, and speaking low, he said:

"We fought a revolution to secure our liberty.
We wrote the Constitution, as a shield from tyranny.
For generations, this legacy we gave,
In this, the land of the free and home of the brave."

"The Freedom we secured for you, we hoped you'd always keep,
But tyrants labored endlessly while your parents were asleep.
Your freedom gone, your courage lost, you're no more than a slave,
In this, the land of the free and home of the brave."

"You buy permits to travel, and permits to own a gun,
Permits to start a business, or to build a place for one.
On land that you believe you own, you pay a yearly rent.
Although you have no voice in choosing how the money's spent."

"Your children must attend a school that doesn't educate.
Your Christian values can't be taught, according to the state.
You read about the current news, in a regulated press.
You pay a tax you do not owe, to please the I.R.S."

"Your money is no longer made of Silver or of Gold.
You trade your wealth for paper, so your life can be controlled.
You pay for crimes that make our Nation, turn from God in shame.
You've taken Satan's number, as you've traded in your name."

"You've given government control to those who do you harm,
So they can padlock churches, and steal the family farm.
And keep our country deep in debt, put men of God in jail,
Harass your fellow countrymen, while corrupted courts prevail."

"Your public servants don't uphold the solemn oath they've sworn.
Your daughters visit doctors, so their children won't be born.
Your leaders ship artillery, and guns to foreign shores,
And send your sons to slaughter, fighting other people's wars."

"Can you regain the freedom for which we fought and died?
Or don't you have the courage, or the faith to stand with pride?
Are there no more values for which you'll fight to save?
Or do you wish your children, to live in fear and be a slave?"

"People of the Republic, arise and take a stand!
Defend the Constitution, the Supreme Law of the Land!
Preserve our Great Republic, and God-given Right!
And pray to God to keep the torch of Freedom burning bright!"

As I awoke he vanished, in the mist from whence he came.
His words were true, we are not Free, we have ourselves to blame.
For even now as tyrants, trample each God-given Right,
we only watch and tremble, too afraid to stand and fight.

If he stood by your bedside, in a dream, while you're asleep,
And wonders what remains of our Rights he fought to keep,
What would be your answer, if he called out from the grave:
"Is this still the land of the free and home of the brave?"

I loved these poems and Thank You ! For years we exhalted the nation to stand and look. Now on the eve of war we are most grateful that our words were not in vain and your eyes are wide open ! Fate calls men forward and the ages write their names. On to the battle now for it is better to die in ditches than to live in tyranny. God forgive us for those men we have killed in anger and those that we are about to !

WOW!!! Two great poems...I have copied them both and sent them to my youngest son who is a student at Drexel University....he often decries the lack of moral political leaders..it is wonderful to hear him and many of his friends discuss the blatant disregard for "old" standards in the country. It reminds me that all is not lost when you have a group of 20 year old young men looking for moral leadership in government.I KNOW that he and his friends will like these very much.God bless....

Thank You William in WI, I am setting here with nothing to say. What can we do? I seem to rail in to the air, my votes don't change anything and I am starting to loose hope (earthly, not eternally). What can be done to effect true change in "the people", other than calamity that brings us to our knees? Im not shaken, just at a loss. There is a battle going on for the hearts & minds (whats left of them) of the people, and I ache for our loss. God Bless! Wendy

Wendy,

1. Continue, as you have, to carry the burden for responsible government.

2. Educate anyone who will listen.

3. Continue to practice self suficiency homestead skills.

4. Keep your powder dry.

Thanks William, that is very good advice! I will follow it! God Bless! Wendy

a lot of that may be right, but please don't forget that despite all of the bad stuff that goes on here, there still is an awful lot of good stuff. we all should, and many of us do try to be the best stewards of the earth that we can be. the price that we pay for freedom is the right to screw up our own lives, and unfortunately, the lives of others and of the planet. i know for a fact that all is not so bad, because we just had our first baby goat, and i got to help. it was a good day.... john
