Anybody read Tom Clancy's "The Sum of all Fears"? So-so yarn, but in the beginning is an interesting angle on how Jeruselum becomes an independant entity along the lines of Vatican City, patrolled by decidely non-decorative Swiss guards. (This after the Palestinians discover the power of non-violent protest and the Israelis overreact a la Kent State.)

Worth a read (at least the first 100 pages IMHO).

I think the whole world is beginning to tire of the intransegence on all sides of the issue. reminds sometimes of my kids who sometimes fight just to remain the focus of attention. But, hey I don't have to live there.

and besides: I'm Irish. What would I know about mindless religous extremism?...

Jerusalem Solution?Why not try one of our successful Tricks,that have worked so well in the Past,bomb Tel Aviv,Haifa.A couple of Megatons should be a good Start.It will save the US Taxpayer Millions.
