When do you do your journal reading? Morning, noon, or night?--Al

Morning,noon and night! I'm addicted!

I get up and while I try to awaken, check out my daily journals in my bookmark list.

I come home for lunch, and to pass the time, I check out some more journals and surf the 'net.

I come home from lunch, and do the same. It's a drug.

Being retired gives me the advantage of being pretty well able to choose my journal reading time. Intervals between readings are normal things like going to the store with my wife, visiting others, trying to do my share of the housework in our apartment and other activities Heather and I do together. Often when I become uncomfortable in bed at night, I will rise and see what's going on. Some of the journals are written by people before they leave for work in the morning. Some are written during the work day and of course there are the time zones in the U.S. which make a broad band of the different types. It is like choosing your route through traffic to home according to the time of day and the condition of the streets and the weather then - - also the similarity includes location where repair work is being done. To be super short, I read when time and inclination allow me the pleasure of venturing among people who are not afraid to say what they think and think before saying.

I have morning journals, afternoon journals, and nighttime journals, as well as "occasional journals" (for those folks who don't update daily).

In the morning, (like right now) if I have even 10 minutes to spare before going to work. I'm not a morning person in a any way, shape, or form. But I like to do something for me before I go off and take care of other people's needs all day (child care). This is usually follewed by a much loger internet session before bed time.

I always do my reading when I first get to work (9:00). I go to the kitchen, get a bottle of water, turn on my computer and read my e- mail. I then read my 3 regular on-line journals (now four, thanks to one of Al's suggestions). I am usually done by about 10ish (which includes interruptions such as phone ringing, boss needing me, etc...). Same pattern every day (It's 10:13 now).

I read in the evening, when the world and my brain is growing still.....I slip my feet into well-worn bunny slippers, carry a cup of hot chocolate to my desk, and shake the mouse. Wake up, Mouse! Time to travel. Time to see what's out.....THERE.

On weekends it tends to be in the afternoon. But on weekdays, when and only when I have time it ends up being at night.
