horse attitude update

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

As of today all three horses are in the same pasture and none of them have trampled each other yet.(see recent horse attitude) there has been a lot of posturing and curiosity but it seems to be going well. we are keeping a close eye but i think it might all be resolved. thanks for all of your previous help.

How's this for horse attitude: I bought a thoroughbred off the track two years ago that I thought would make a good jumper/eventer. He has talent but is insane hyper. The kids in the barn call him "Radical Red the Thoroughbred" and "Captain Chaos". Yesterday, he snapped his cross-ties and took off down the barn aisle, which was blocked at the other end with a medium-sized tractor. He looked at me, looked at the tractor, and JUMPED OVER IT. Cleared it by a foot. Trailing the cross-ties. I thought they'd snag on something, he'd do a cartwheel, and I'd be the proud owner of 1,300 pounds of dog food.
