Lowering the ride heightgreenspun.com : LUSENET : MV Agusta F4 : One Thread |
I want to lower the ride height by backing out the preload of the rear shock. First, what should I use for the preload nuts? Second, what about the dampener?

There is a separate ride height adjuster. It's that rod than runs diagonally towards the back wheel and attaches to the centre of the swinging arm (with a rubber cover over the part where it connects). I don't know how to do it - my dealer did it for me. Regards

The diagonal tube, previously refered to, has a nut in the center. Turning the nut counter clockwise will reduce the length of the tube, thereby reducing the height.

Make sure you first loosen the allen bolts before turning the adjustment nut.

make sure you re-adjust the chain as lowering or heightening will slacken or tight'n the chain, but its all a pinch of salt .
