White cloud diapers

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

I thought I would pass this on , I've been using luvs diapers they don't burn worth a darn .So you end up with alot of diaper left .Then I tried white cloud not only are they cheaper but they burn well , and am guessing they will probally compost better.I sorry no time or desire for cloth .

Don't be sorry, be HAPPY!!!!! No poopy diapers to rinse!!lol

-- lynne (leaves8@hotmail.com), August 04, 2000.

Patty are they absorbent? My daughter is expecting again--& I had bought drypers brand when the other 2 were born & they were leaky-are they reasonably priced or I should say comparable with luvs? Ya have to help us old grandma's out---I just wish they would have had something other than cloth when my babies were born! Thanks Sonda in Ks.

-- Sonda (sgbruce@birch.net), August 04, 2000.

We haven't had any problems yet .I think they are pretty good .

-- Patty Gamble (fodfarms@slic.com), August 07, 2000.

Ok dumb question... I didn't think that you could burn diapers. We had some white cloud ones and they didn't like being peed into a lot. I've got a 16 month old and they leaked after he peed in them twice. Maybe he's just a heavy wetter.. but I had to put Luvs on him at night. Hey if I could burn them, that'd be great!! It'd save me on the trash output I'll tell ya!

-- Misha (MIshaaE@aol.com), August 08, 2000.

If you want to see what they are like look at www.whiteclouddiapers.com

-- Melinda Harris (mdbharrison@yahoo.com), March 16, 2001.

I love these diapers! They are cheap and also very absorbent! I have tried other off brands but they are not as good as these!

-- shannon person (smperson@yahoo.com), April 28, 2001.

I'm sorry but I do think that there cheep but not so absorbent and I have three boys in diapers and do you know how much alone in diapers I would have to burn not including trash over 36 diapers a day and not only that they stink. The trash man is my friend.

-- Shyila Wilson (Penshy17@yahoo.com), June 13, 2001.

I started using whitecloud diapers about 5mo. ago. I think they are the best. My daughter has leaked through all the name brand diapers and all the off brand diapers. They are also cheap.

-- Nadine Smith (pnmsmith@yahoo.com), June 19, 2001.

I started using white cloud when my son was 3 months old and now that he's 18 months I still continue to use them. I've tried huggies, dri bottoms, and luvs and all they did was create a rash or left him soaked. I live by white cloud. They are the best diapers I have ever used.

-- Tamika Collins (luther@arkansas.net), July 30, 2001.

Yes, white clouds do burn well. This is a complaint. I have been using these diapers since my son was born 9 months ago. The diapers hold up well but lately they seem to be poorly made. The velcro panels are missing so they do not stick. This upsets me because whitecloud are the only diapers that do not cause a rash on my son. Has anyone else noticed this problem? --Crystal Adams

i would like to register for coupons my address is 302 so.market st. p.o. box 66 lakepark iowa 51347 thanks

-- cheryl whitlock (cheryl@iowaone.net), August 26, 2001.

I have been using white cloud on my daughter who is 9 months old since she was born. My oldest daughter only wore Huggies but that got expensive. When a friend told me about White cloud I was ecstatic. She has not once been wet through.

I do believe that boys have a problem with them though. I have 2 boys I watch, both are able to wear them during the day, but both wake up in the morning wet.

TAKE CAUTION THOUGH!!!!! My daughter woke from her afternoon nap and when I went to change her I found a small piece of glass down in her diaper. I have not broken any glass in my house in months and never have in the room her diapers stay in where she is changed! Like I said she is nine months old and had a one piece outfit on that there is no way possible anything could have gotten down in her diaper! THIS WAS CERTAINLY HORRIFYING TO SEE THIS STICKING OUT, IF IT HAD PUSHED IN ANY FURTHER I'M SURE IT WOULD HAVE CUT HER SERIOUSLY!

JUST WANT TO CAUTION EVERYONE, TAKE A SECOND LOOK BEFORE YOU VELCRO!

Shari , I hope you called the company and gave them the lot number so they could look into it .They will often send you product to cover what you lost .

I am sorry to read here about people burning diapers--they are not meant to be burned--disposables contain a lot of unnatural matter in them and the air pollution issues are very serious, even in areas where you have good quality air now.

I am not against burning trash per se, but there is a right way and a wrong way to do it, and these days it is not unusual for people who smell something awful or see thick black smoke to call the local AQMD (air quality management district), as well as the fire department, and the trash burner gets in major trouble with fines. Not to mention that because of a few calls you could get a complete burn ban for your area which means no burning of even yard debris.

Believe me, as the population ages and more people become chemically sensitive, there will be more of this--also it is a common courtesy thing--would you like the local prevailing winds to bring the smell of burning diapers into your home? If you ever have someone with emphysema or lung cancer move near you, I can almost guarantee they will be calling to complain that the burning is exacerbating their illness.

Like I said before, I am not against trash burning, but some things, because of their composition, should not be burnt, and diapers are one of them.

I see in your post that you are against cloth. We used cloth at home, and disposables when travelling, and that is where they got disposed of. The cloth ones are now a good rag supply. We bought enough to make a complete load and washed them once a week. Less trouble than dealing with disposables, to be honest.

Just a thought.

I have a 2 year old and White Clouds are the only diaper I will use. I fully beieve they are just as good if not better than Huggies. My daughter drinks a lot and White Clouds are the only diaper I've found, including Huggies, that do not leak. I am ( months pregnant and fully plan to use them with the next baby too. It'd be nice if they made newborn diapers though.

-- Jennifer McHenry (sunburst34@yahoo.com), August 30, 2001.

They DO make a newborn size diaper in the whitecloud brand,I just bought 3 pkgs. I'm due at the end of Nov. 2001 The UPC # is 7 59409 00944 . I bought them @ walmart @ a price of $8.77 per pkg. They are NEWBORN for babies up to 10 lbs.If your store does not carry this size, take down this upc # and they may be able to order them for you.

-- Lynnette Grant (countrygirl_1955@hotmail.com), September 26, 2001.

Has anyone noticed that they have been changed? The little tabs are flimsy and they tear off easily... I'm P-O'd.

-- jamie (sybal12@hotmail.com), December 06, 2001.

We also burn all our dirty diapers. We don't rinse them out, we throw it out and burn it up poop and all. I agree Luvs don't burn very well. We started using White Cloud diapers and they all burn up completly every time. Also burning diapers don't really smell any worse than burning trash in general.

-- Butch Huggle (jlovett@yahoo.net), December 19, 2001.

I am preg. with my 2nd child-due in early April. Does anyoone know of anywhere I can get coupons for white cloud???

To the person whose child had glass in their diaper.......We had the same thing happen with huggies. There was a shard of glass in the velcro tab. Kimberly Clark said that the tabs were made at a seperate Co. and that they would look into it.

-- Lisa Johnson (giddypickle@yahoo.com), December 30, 2001.

They should of given you alot of free diapers for that !

-- Patty {NY State} (fodfarms@hotmail.com), December 30, 2001.

I love white cloud diapers, they fit really well, and they are cheaper than huggies! I use them all the time!

-- Lesli Goodsell (lesli@nebi.com), January 06, 2002.

I have 3 little boys 3-1/2, 2-1/2 and 1-1/2.I baby sitted for all three and two of them were put in White Cloud Diapers.I was very disappointed your diapers. My two year old grandson soaked completely through 3 diapers in 3 hours. All the way down to his socks. This was a big Mess.I will never purchase your product again. Yes, Cheap is what they are and you get what you pay for... I just wonder if you only post the good news letter that you get to keep your customers in DREAM WORLD. YOU JUST LOST A "GRAND MOTHER CUSTOMER"... VERY UNHAPPY WITH WHITE CLOUDS DIAPERS ON LITTLE BOYS.... I like Dri Bottoms much better at least they don't leak and are cheaper then Huggies or Pampers..

-- Ronda Huff (rjhuff@rexnet.net), January 06, 2002.

Ronda , not sure what you are talking about .I do not work for the company and have no interests in it either .

-- Patty {NY State} (fodfarms@hotmail.com), January 06, 2002.

I have been using White Cloud pull up diapers on my 2 year old son for a few months now. The last couple of packs I have noticed them to be poorly made, there is more material on one side of the diaper than on the other which causes a "wedgie" and this causes some bad messes... Are they making them different or did I just get a bad batch???

-- Tina Karson (jtlkarson1998@aol.com), January 10, 2002.

I have tried all of the disposal diapers (Pampers, Huggies, Luvs, etc.)but the one I like best is White Cloud. I'm sure that some of you may have noticed that they have changed. The diaper is thinner and the tabs are smaller. One thing I love about White Cloud is that the tabs are large and you get the diaper fastened before the child starts to wiggle away (and if you have a toddler you know exactly what I mean). If you're interested, here's the toll free number for White Cloude and give them your comments like I did. Maybe it will help.

I would like to thank Nina Kelsey, Customer Marketing Manager for sending me two packages of Whitecloud diapers. I teach Childbirth Education Classes for my community and these packages of diapers will be used as prizes for moms that attend all five of my classes. I really appreciate what you did and again I'd like to say "Thank You So Very Much."

HI, Does white cloud have any perks? I know pampers and huggies do, Thanks

-- debbie (dfurner@hotmail.com), February 04, 2002.

Thought I'd let everyone know that if you have found this thread through an internet search this is the forum for readers of Countryside Magazine, a homesteading publication. Any comments, suggestions, or complaints will not be seen by the makers of White Cloud Diapers, although they could help another person to decide to try or not to try White Cloud Diapers.

-- Bren (wayoutfarm@skybest.com), February 05, 2002.

Disposable diapers on homestead babies? Burning the mess and the plastic? I'm appauled. Shame.

-- Susan in Northern Michigan (cobwoman@yahoo.com), February 06, 2002.

I have always loved White cloud diapers, even over Pampers...that is UNTIL they changed the tabs. It sounds like there are a LOT of unhappy customers out there about this. I just bought a jumbo pack two weeks ago, and found 14 diapers that were defective. The left side tab was without velcro altogether and I couldn't even USE them! When you need a diaper, you REALLY NEED ONE, and you can't use anything to substitute very well. I hope someone from the company is paying attention to all this. I'll probobly continue to use White Cloud because they are the best diaper for the price, but this has put a damper on my reccomendations for using them. They seem to have gone CHEAP on their faithful customers.

I have been using White Cloud since my daughter was born. She is 5 months old now. Lately, we have been having some serious blow-outs. Has anyone had this same problem? I have tried Drypers, Pampers and Huggies. The Drypers had a bad odor once they got wet, the Pampers were too expensive and the Huggies were just leaky and messy. I am a new mother and I just moved up to the size 2 diapers because I thought that the blow-outs were due to the wrong size but they continue. Can somebody please give me some advice? Thank you.

-- Michelle Wekmp (lazyluci@hotmail.com), February 22, 2002.

hello ms. michelle!

Yeah the drypers brand really smell chemical-funky when they get a little bit wet don't they?

are you putting the diapers on high in back & low in front? this gives the best fit around those increasingly mobile little legs.

dappi diaper covers over cloth diapers might be another option for those chunky legs! they really adjust smoothly as the kid moves.

and they let you have an accurate count of wet diapers, just in case you were worried about diabetes. [one of the symptoms is large & frequent urination.]

-- bj pepper in C. MS. (pepper.pepper@excite.com), February 22, 2002.

yes i love white cloud diapers.they asborb and they don't leak either.

-- windy mckee (tweetybird477@yahoo.com), February 28, 2002.

I too use white cloud diapers and like them over Huggies. Huggies smell awful when your child wets, not to mention price. I tried a brand found at K-Mart called Adorables. I like them much better than the White Cloud diapers. They fit better and have large velcro tabs and the cloth like covers. The price is about the same as White Cloud too. The other nice thing is that K-mart does run sales on these diapers. I have NEVER seen a sale on White Cloud diapers. I have twin two year olds and have used both products with no leakage problems.

-- K Hannula (duckula @tds.net), March 13, 2002.

With my son I always used Huggies. I've always liked them but they are so expensive, even with coupons. When I had my daughter in 12/00 I found the Huggies diapers were leaving a sand-like material all over her bottom and belly. The absorbant lining does not go from end to end and leaves about a 2 inch section of the sandy stuff exposed. I started searching for cheaper diapers that I would be happy with and have found the White Cloud diapers at Wal-mart to be the best diaper for the money. They are cloth-like with the velcro tabs just like Huggies, but don't leave any material like sand or gel balls in the diaper. I have been really happy. I am now looking for White Cloud coupons if possible.

-- Tracy Apple (speechgirl@ix.netcom.com), March 26, 2002.

I too use the White Cloud diapers. I like them better than any of the other brands. The only time I use something different is when someone else buys them for us. White Cloud is the only brand my oldest son could wear, everything else would give a terrible rash. What I want to know is why they stopped making wipes. They were my favorite kind because they were just the right thickness and not to wet or to dry.

-- Jennifer Walden ( Arkansas) (jasonwalden@prodigy.com), April 01, 2002.

I am totally disapointed in these diapers. This is the first time I bought them. They fall off of my daughter. I have to immediatly change her when she gets up in the morning the valcrow is not strong enough. the first day I used them they leaked. She can wear any other brand name diaper all night and a few hours in the morning and they don't leak or fall off. It is a shame that you have to sacrifice quality to save a few a bucks on diapers. I am also involved in many diaper studies and out of everything I try I would not buy or recommend these to anyone!

-- Lindsay (bill2lindsay@yahoo.com), April 04, 2002.

I've found these diapers to be a better diaper for the price. Huggies and Luvs (especially Luvs) tend to leave gel balls on my daughters bottom and leak more. I would like to find some coupons though.

-- Regina Dodge (Angelbride528@yahoo.com), April 04, 2002.

My daughter is 7 months old and we use whitecloud as well as cloth. I have found that Whitecloud are just as good as Huggies. At first I had a problem w/ the velcro tabs but since they have changed the diaper ( from the Loony Toons to the cloth like John Lennon Design) I have had no problems. The ones I had problems with were reembersed to me when I called and complained.

I have found that Pampers BabyDry, Dry Bottoms, and other brands leave my daughter with broken skin and a rash. Although I like cloth, White clouds are my #1 pick with disposables.

-- Kristy Shelton (KayleeJo@aol.com), April 05, 2002.

My son is doing a project at school, and He needs information about what diapers are made of,f any body can help us please here is my e-mail m.castro9@gte.net He is using this brand of diaper.

-- Maria Castro (m.castro9@gte.net), April 06, 2002.

Why on earth would anyone even BUY Huggies, anyway? They have got to be the number one worst diaper in the world. My sister came over once when my son had on a Huggies diaper, and she told me he was wet and asked if he was wearing a Huggies brand diaper! She could tell from across the room! They have a terrible odor. Plus they leak. If you want your child to always smell like urine, buy Huggies, but if not get White Cloud. They are great diapers. I am a very satisfied customer.

-- Terry Walters (muff22@msn.com), April 09, 2002.

White Cloud is the best! I have been using them on my son for six months now with no problems. He had leaks all the time with Luvs and Pampers. Huggies worked well, but are so expensive unless they're on sale and you have coupons. One thing to mention about the White Cloud, the same exact diaper (except for the printed cartoon on the front) is available at K-Mart under the brand name Adorables. They are both made by Paragon Trade Brands.

-- Susan Ferko (sbferko@yahoo.com), April 17, 2002.

I bought white cloud because they were a little cheaper, but come to find out it gave my son bad diaper rash!!!! For the $3.00 more I should of gotten Huggies!! I will not purchase the diapers again Thanks.

-- Sameia Charity (sameia78@yahoo.com), May 06, 2002.

It's been a few years since I had to buy diapers. My babies had real sensitive skin. What I found to work best for us(I can't remember the brand name) were Canadian made biodegradable disposable diapers. There was no plastic on them, no perfume, no rash and no problems that masking tape wouldn't fix.

Oh, by the way, When the package says up to 20 pounds, that means the baby, NOT 20 pounds of pee soaked stuffing.
