It's recently occurred to me that now that a lot of mortgage companies are offering "payment holidays" how many of us suffering the shortfall problem could have been helped by that when we were having problems 10 years ago. Would a break of say 2 consecutive payments have prevented repossesion? I feel in my case that yes it probably would have. Does anyone agree?
