Journal redesign: do you like it better when it's clever or simple?--Al

I like it either way. I've noticed you've kept the unique page opener, which is cool. I'm always delighted that each time I call it up, it opens up differently, little squares, tiny pixels dots gathering, diagonal's fun. I like fun. We need fun!

The unique page opener must work only in IE, 'cause it doesn't show up in Netscape (I opened the page once in IE and discovered what Bob had been talking about a couple of weeks ago).

I've enjoyed your page designs. Until I got the new computer (which I'm still not completely transferred to), my criterion was how fast a page loaded. If it takes a long time to open, I get impatient with it, so I guess "simplicity" is my preference. It's possible to be simple and still THERE's a challenge!

As a Webtv user, Microsoft seems to take care of a lot of details, however I have noticed that some sites connected some way with Xoom take such a long, long time to come on screen. As to design, I like pretty for sure, but text content presented in a clear legible way is prime with me.
