A Quick Message From American Suzuki

greenspun.com : LUSENET : New England Motocross Racing : One Thread

This is just to explain why Suzuki changed it's contingency dates from Middleboro. There has been some problems that were braught up to us by some long time Suzuki supporters regarding the NESC and the Middleboro track. We were asked to move the dates by these supporters so they could take advantage of our contingency program without having to go to Middleboro until some of the issues are sorted out. Suzuki believes in supporting their customers and will go where they want us to go if we can. I received more than a few calles regarding this, so I felt it would be in our best interest to change to dates. Suzuki has no plans on taking contingency away from the NESC. Hopefully the problems between the riders and the NESC will be resolved and racing will continue as normal. Suzuki does not condone any unsportsman like conduct on or off the track and belives any differences can be resolved in a civil manor. If racers still want to ride Middleboro they should be able to without any presure from other racers. It's important to remember why you get up early and spend all day at the track to get about 1hr of riding time. Hopefully it's because you and your family enjoys it. Keep it real.

Jason ! thanks for taking a Stand with the riders.. we cant thank you enough. I must say you were wrong about the 1 hour of ride time. I have at most only riden 12 laps at middleboro in one class ! and the average lap is a little over a min. its a far cry from a one hour :(.. but thats part of why we are so unhappy...

I have a Q.? My freind races a suz. and is the fastest in his class on a suz. and was making the most contingincy on it. Now if suz. dosn't pay cont. at middleboro than he loses out on getting picked for the RM cup because Suzuki picks top 4 in the reigion who has made the most cont. so he will lose out on going . I was woundering if there was any way around this.

I think that it is great to see one of the indutrys major players, stand behind and support the people that help make our sport grow, the riders. With out them there would be NESC or other organization. Support the people that support you.

Wake NESC the end is near, This is just the begining. If you people do not get your heads out of your asses it will over before you know it. Do the right thing and end this sillyness NOW!!!, before its to late. If you people in charge care about this sport like you say you do, do something now!!!!

I've never been a big fan of Suzukis and I got to admit that I don't ride one, but the support that Suzuki is giving the riders in New England is very impressive and in the next month or so when I'm looking for a new bike I'll without a doubt be considering the yellow machine. J. Simmons and American Suzuki you guys are doing the right thing and all of us riders in the NESC appreciate it, yellow bike or not.

I get blamed for stuff whether I do anything or not so I might as well start speaking up. I just bought an RM and I buying another one!!!!! Thank you Suzuki for standing behind the riders and their cause. The move "may" bring people together in a fair and balanced forum. Peggy Belmore
