Sped Gonzalas : He was the fastest rider i have ever seen . I 1st met him at a sandpit in CT . It was the week of the southwick national , Team honda was there with George Holland , Jeff Stanton and Rick Johnson . Sped smoked all of them it was awesome !!! I told Sped, man you fly you should race !!! The next weekend he went to bull run , but unfortunately he parked in the wrong spot , was kicked out and never seen again !!!!! His friends called him SPEEDY !!!

There's no doubt that Jim Meenan winning 15 championships before there was spring/fall series makes him the best! This was in an era where there were over 100 experts trying to qualify each week. He's shown the greatest amount of sportsmanship of anyone I know. He should be a role model to alot of riders. I rode with him in this era and in my book , he certainly is "The Man"!
