It's King of Free Estimates, not Queen. How dare you?

KoFE, this article has more implications than you might suspect. The obvious connection between Haliburton, Cheney, Bush, Brown & Root, and Government contracts is only current news. Back in the 40s there lived a king-maker by the name of Herman Brown. Why yes, this is the man who started Brown & Root and he was the mentor and money man behind..guess whoare you ready..Lyndon Baines Johnson. Starting with his questionable election to the House in the late 40s, LBJ was put into a position of power by the behind the scenes efforts of Herman Brown.

Once in place in D.C., LBJ funneled billions of government contracts to Brown & Root. This included many military installations in Texas as well as the massive Colorado River Authority Projects in and around Austin. So you see, Brown & Root has a long history at the Government trough. They also appear to be apolitical as well.

Gov. contracts 1996: $582,314,000

Total Revs: 1996: $5.7 Billion.

So less than 11% of B&R's revs. come from the Gov. What is the point of this post?

What's a point?
