I don't know about "deadly drug cartel" (huh-wha-a-a-?) But I do agree that the public school system leaves MUCH to be desired. Some of my neices and nephews can't tell time unless it's on a digital clock. God Forbid if you say to "quarter-past" they look at you like you have two heads.

I was lucky and went to Catholic school. Everything I needed to know I learned in 9 years there. Public High School was a joke!

And I realize now, that I'm taking college classes, that I seem to be the smartest one in the class. Know why? Because, in my opinion, they've lowered their standards.

How appropriate that Jim Lord now launches his disaster theories from the Church of Hyatt site. Like most bullshit of this ilk, there is a dollop of truth used to create a fear-driven atmosphere. Remember, Hyatt is still selling his shitty supplies and he must have these messengers of Armageddon at his side in order to still the pot. If blasphemy and ignorance were precious metals than Hyatt and his flock would be wealthy beyond imagination.

Im not ignorant of the current state of our public schools. I live in Southern California and I doubt if there is a more critical example of how fast a school system can slide into the sewer. We can all thank LBJ and his Great Society for this mess. The question is: How do we clean it up?

May be true where you live, but the public school system here is so good that the church closed their schools about 30 y ago. They couldn't compete or provide as good an education. I'm sure that this is true in many place outside of S. Cal. You shouldn't be so general in your comments.

Any school system or district that must support the massive, unrelenting influx of the children of illegal immigrants, such as is case in Southern California, is doomed to fail.

I am happy for you that your little corner of the world is isolated from this insidious problem. Spend some time out here and you will understand.
