I think you lost me on the title. As for the photo, great colors in the sky, but the moon (which appears to be the main subject) is washed-out (no surface detail) and rather small.

The Moon is kinda surfing on the clouds... Any way I wouldn't really expect a lot of detail from the moon in a picture like this.

I like it even better with the moon cropped out! By removing that distinct spot of white, I get a soft texture image with a wonderful range of colors. Try it. Put your finger over that moon and see how you like it. John Thurston Juneau, Alaska

I think this is a cool photograph. The wavelike shapes of the clouds seem to be tossing the moon around (I got your title). The subject for me is not the moon, but the sky. I think that the moon's presence gives scale to the clouds, which makes them much more magnificent. Good job finding this one.Pat
