Peterbilt Cuts 370 Jobs

The Peterbilt Plant in Madison has laid off 370 people. Plant representatives said that Friday will be the last day for the workers and at that time second shift production will stop indefinitely. In recent months, production had dropped off because of a drop in sales. Officials say there are many factors to blame for slow sales, such as lower truck resale values, higher interest rates and much higher fuel costs

I can see higher interest rates and fuel costs, but, lower truck resale values?

Where did that reason come from?
