Let me 1st say I have had a internal battle with myself since sat night . that battle was to tell everyone what really happend at the nesc meeting or try and sugarcoat it so we can move on and try and work forward at making things better for everyone in the nesc rider orgazation. I try my hardest in life to try and DO THE NEXT RIGHT THING . I do not always succeedat this , I'm not perfect as my wife can attest . But I feel you all should know what really happend, from my perspective anyways . A day in the life of motoman 41 . sat 7/22/00 I got up early to prepare my bike for the race on sunday , mount 2 tires , change oil , air filter, ect . I had to do the things early because I was going to a busness meeting of the nesc board . this would be my 1st nesc meeting and i did not know how long it would last . (boy i'm glad i took care of my bike 1st ) I arrived at southwick at approx 2pm (the meeting was to start at 2:30 ) I staked my claim to an area for me and my freinds . while i was doing that i met up with and talked to several other riders who told me they had also heard the meeting was today and an OPEN MEETING . I left them and said see you in there . I walked up and followed a rider rep thru the bar and up the back staircase into the meeting room . took a seat and with notepad in hand waited to wittness the political wheels of nesc spin . Yvonne opened the meeting and the 1st order of busness began (nothing to exciting a couple of pay issues and a rider riding in the wrong class )approx 2and 1/2 hours later,Yvonne asked that all non voting boardmembers please leave so they could talk about the 44 middleboro ban issue. (i must say that during that 2 and 1/2 hour span i was wondering where the heck all the other riders that said they were going to the meeting were ) ( i must also say that during that 2 and 1/2 span Yvonne did not yell or screem at anyone )(you'll have to forgive my sarcaziam its just the way i am ). anyways i promply left the meeting the same way i came in down the stairs and out the bar . (did i mention those 3 issues took 2 and 1/2 hours , ya i guess i did )when i came outside i say about 20 people sitting on the picnick tables , i swiftly asked them what are you doing outhere the meeting is inside , they swiftly asked me how i got in ! I said i asked 1st , they told me there was a sign on the front door stating it was a closed meeting , i said you got to be kidding me i went in the back door .(i'm still waiting for somone to tell me why all of a sudden a OPEN MEETING was CLOSED ) (i probably shuold'nt hold my breath ). anyways after abuot an hour or so Mike Treadwell came out and said they were willing to listen to people on the whole banning thing . after about 30mins of very unorganized dissussion Mike said all right thats enough lets go in . (a good call we were not getting anywhere ) we all went in , of those 20 or so people i think 7 were banned riders . when we all got in Mike said ok tell them what you have to say . after about 1min that seemed to last forever , and no one said anything i spoke up stated my name and proceeded to attempt to speak on the behalf of myself and the riders i represent (the entire vet class )i do not know if a made any headway or sence but it got the ball rolling and others followed Scott Carter , Jack , Graghm Rogers , and Anna the girlfreind of a concerned rider . I followed with a ple to Norman to lift the ban and gain back the respect of the riders in general. Yes I kissed some butt in the hope of getting ALL THE RIDERS BACK and to move on from there . I stated both sides had acted in the heat of the moment under the worst human emotion ANGER . (after hearing the desision i truelly regret the butt kissing that fell on deaf ears anyways ). The board said ok we'll vote on this and the meeting was closed to all, except voting boardmembers . (that includes are 3 riders rep for those who did not know ) If this is getting really long its for good reason IT WAS . At approx 8pm (remember i said the meeting started at 2:30 )Gary Mikalson came out and said ok here's what happened , and I said wait, are'nt they going to reopen the meeting and explain their decesion , no i was told the meeting is over . Gary told me that Jack was suspenad for 1 year Max Candidius and his brother Leo, Austen Squires , Scott Brothers (James father )all suspended indef, for unsportman like conduct. I asked Gary and Rick Marshall (both rider reps and present for entire meeting )what the unsportman like coduct was ? they told me they did not know , but Norman would not lift the ban on the 44 unless nesc suspened these 5 people . I could not beleave this , and procceeded to talk to anyone i could find to help me to understand this , afterall i just spent 5 and 1/2 hours there for this . I would like to know , and I think ALL RIDERS should know what the ununsportmanlike conduct was !!!!!!!!!!! after all it could happen to me or it could to you . was it because they hit somone because they said somthing that offened somone , or cause they said things on this message board or tryed to get people together to change things ???????????? I HAVE BEEN DOING SOME SOUL SERCHING ON THIS AND I THINK WE ALL SHOULD . Those riders have a right to appeall and i anxiously await the outcome of those appealls !!!! PLEASE KEEP US ALL UP TO DATE GUYS , THANKS AND GOODLUCK . well i do not know i how this came off . but i feel better for telling my side and trying to DO THE RIGHT THING .

Dave , You are to be commended for having the balls to tell everyone what you told me the other night on the phone. I,like you, always try to do the right thing and I wouldn't have sugercoated it either. But that being said you have seen first hand just how poorly the Nesc is run starting at the top and going right down to our RIDER REPS! You have taken the chance of being ostracized for speaking your mind and telling the truth about this fu.....up organization. Everyone going to Middleboro, have a nice time on that wonderful track, because Norman will not get another penny of my money. I will be giving my money to a man who cares(MARCO at Jolly Rogers) about something other the drinking and his winter vacation with all the money he has sucked from the riders and thier families.

i would like to know what " un sportsmanlike conduct " is? is it because they protested that next middleboro race ? is it because they wanted a safer track? well if that is the reasons that is just stupid! maybe if the n.e.s.c board looked deeper into the riders side of the story, they will see what this is all about.. now as for the people that got suspended indef. what about jack.. he did just as much as anyone of them(no offence jack) but its true.. he was there with the others..doing the same as them.. i think that if jack gets a year then so shouldnt the others ! no offence to you jack, but that is how i feel.. i am just sick of going to races and finding out that more and more people are either getting kicked out or suspended..why cant we just start all over and try to make n.e.s.c fun again? thats how i feel.. if that doesnt happen then oh well i guess they arent guna change and there is nothing we can do about it! i no i dont want to race if i have to worry about getting thrown out !

I'LL DEFINE UNSPORTSMAN LIKE CONDUCT, THE NESC DEFINITION ,ANYONE WHO GOES AGAINST ANY BOARD MEMBER OR SPEAKS OUT ABOUT UNSAFE CONDITIONS!
