I'm waiting to receive the new Hitachi DV-P505.

EG Marshall wrote a review of the DV-P505 in this forum and he think that it's a great DVD Player.

I would like to contact with any users of Hitachi DVD Players to exchange impressions.

There are problems with the Double Layer DVD disks skipping & jerking in video & audio, I bought the Abyss Special Edition 6 hr DVD and it does not play smoothly on the 505u (mine and the store's display model, the Hitachi Rep was not availble at the time I brought the Disc in to play it), but it plays smoothly on other model Hitachi DVD Rom drives. I am going to try a different DVD Movie (6hr format) to verify if this is across the board.
