looking for operating information for old incubator

greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread

A guy my husband works with gave me an old incubator he picked up at an auction for $1! I don't know beans about running the thing. It's from Brower Mfg. in Quincy IL. Anyone have an old owners' manual you could photocopy for me? I can't find anything about them on the net but will extend my hunt for info during business hours tomorrow. Thanks in advance.

Patty, you sweetie! I called the number right after 8 this morning, talked to some really nice people and they're sending me a photocopy of the original owners' manual free of charge. The salesman said they almost threw out their copy when my model went out of production about 10 years ago but they are glad they didn't. He said they get at least one request a day for it--someone will pick up one at auction, find one in Grandpa's barn or attic, whatever. They still have parts for them. Thank you so much for taking the time to respond. I decided not to play with it this season as I already have enough chicks coming on but next spring, I'm going to have a ball with the thing!
