I used up the last of my stored water today. I thought it would only last about 6 weeks. It's going to be hard eating up all the remaining food over the next few years with nothing to drink.

You telling me you didn't purchase one of those handy-dandy $19.95 straws that filter out everything from the chemical runoff which made Monsanto famous, to cow patty soup?

Grab a can of dehydrated leeks and hurry on down to the nearest creek. Dip the straw, suck, tilt head back being careful to block off the esophagus, grab a handful of leek chips, insert in mouth, gargle for thirty seconds, chew and swallow contents of mouth (not the teeth nor tongue).

Or you could spit the water into a bowl, dump in some leek chips, let sit for 10 minutes and eat.

Sounds to me like you're just looking for an excuse to avoid eating from your preps, dandelion.

Ive got plenty of powdered milk. Should run out in 2005.

I suppose suspicion of the nearby creek is unjustified just because it originates at a condo complex and no fish live in it. After all, a family of beavers was very happy there for a summer.
