July 26, 2000 Animals Knock Out Power

It's frisky season for north suburban critters. Animals are blamed for two separate power outages last night. Com Ed says about 49-hundred people were knocked out for about an hour in Libertyville when a racoon jumped on some power lines. About 18-hundred folks in Deerfield were also without power for about an hour when some type of varmit made contact with power lines. No word on the fate of the critters.
