TMX in TFX-2

greenspun.com : LUSENET : B&W Photo - Film & Processing : One Thread

For the FWIW department...

TMX in Formulary TFX-2, said to give very high acutance, full speed bla bla bla...

Well, it does; curve shape and EI are pretty much identical with TMX in Rodinal 1:100, as is acutance.

At 30X Rodinal 1:100 may have a _very_ slight edge in smallest detail rendered...or maybe not, it's that close. Grain and edge crispness of larger objects are identical. Both show somewhat finer detail sharply than D-76 1:1.

In short, if you've ever wondered about TFX-2....

Thanks John, I have been wanting to try it because of the write ups on this! Not that I like TMX but have you tried it on say TX or Ektapan? Cheers

> TX or Ektapan

No, they're not films I use. Sorry. Next try will probably be with Delta 100 and HP5+, although I have a new package of DiXactol sitting there....
