Layout of the Not-So

greenspun.com : LUSENET : The Not-So : One Thread

So, what do you guys think of the layout of the Not-So?

The page (formerly known as the Gates Cafe - with a restraunt theme that never really worked very well - and before that The Gates of Hell) was named The Not-So Daily Press mostly as a nod to the Daily Press(Mess) here in Newport Snooze, a constant factor in my life since the age of two when my father went to work for them. By now he's on the board of directors there and everyone has been telling me for years that I shoud follow that path as well. I'm not going to, as far as I can tell, but to allow that to theme my rather useless webpage seemed to be both a nice tribute to my father and his profession, and an ironic statement on life.

I don't think it's very likely that we will be changing names right now (there's enough of that going around), but maybe a change in the layout owuld revitalize my waning interest in this pursuit. Or perhaps it would be too much work.

So what I need from you is this: tell me what you do and don't like about the current layout/theming and how it could be improved. I might listen. I might not. But unless you tell me, I'll never know.

If I may begin at the beginning... I already discussed this a little with Sarah, but I thought I'd bring it up here...

The four-column format. Good or bad?
